Design Title: University of Florida | College of Nuclear Engineering
After completing the main site for the College of Public Health and Health Professions, I was asked by the Dean of Nuclear Engineering to revamp their website. I was not working for this college, but it was within walking distance, which allowed me to sit in on their design meetings and the information they wanted displayed on their new website. The previous website was built with HTML/CSS code, and they were looking to get into a content management system that some of their students could maintain for them. After pitching two different content management systems they ultimately landed on using Joomla since some of their staff had experience with that system. After the website was published I created how-to videos so they could manage their own website as needed with the various students throughout the year. When it came to making major updates to the website that were outside of their scope, they used me as a freelancer to make those changes as needed.
